Letter from Naomi

Dear Reader,

I hope you are having a lovely day. My name is Naomi de Tenorio, and I’m a fifth-year student at New Jersey Institute of Technology. I’m an architecture admirer, avid explorer, and sustainability advocate.

I grew up with a love of travel, which allowed me to experience different places and observe firsthand how culture and society play a significant role in shaping architecture. Hence, when I began my college career in 2021, it was with the aspiration of learning and practicing architecture, which I wanted to invest my education in.

Over the course of four years, that passion has continued to be fueled by my education and exposure to the provocative field of architecture. However, my dreams and intentions of professionally exploring architecture have also been inspired by the desire to produce sustainable designs. I truly believe that architects and architectural designers have the influence to provide environmentally harmonious buildings that can support people, nature, and function.

I hope my designs can reflect sustainable principles and inspire you to envision the potential architectural design has for people and the environment.
